fhit.io ("we", "us", "our", "fhit.io, Inc.") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect, use, disclose and protect your Personal Information (defined below). It applies to all Personal Information processed by us on any of our Services, as well as written, electronic, and oral communications. This Privacy Policy is provided to help you understand how we processes your data. However, this Policy does not describe how we collect or use your Protected Health Information (as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), which is covered by our Notice of HIPAA Privacy Practices (" HIPAA Notice"). For clarity, the HIPAA Notice, not this Privacy Policy, explains our privacy practices with respect to your Protected Health Information.

What is fhit.io?

fhit.io provides data analytics services to help healthcare providers to improve their services, operations. The solution aims to improve medical coding efficiency and accuracy, improve patient population management, and patient engagement.

To provide enterprise-level solutions while helping grow our user community, fhit.io provides both free and paid services.

Unless we define a term in this Policy, all capitalized terms used in this Policy have the meaning provided in our Membership Terms of Service (“Membership Terms”), which you can view here. Please make sure that you have carefully read and understand the Membership Terms before you use our Services. By using our Services, you accept the Membership Terms and accept our privacy practices described in this Policy. If you do not feel comfortable with any part of this Policy or our Membership Terms, you must not use or access our Services.

If you wish to share a fhit.io job post with your friend, we will collect their name and email address to send them a one-time email inviting them to view the invite. We do not store this information for any reason.

If you no longer wish to receive fhit.io publications (e.g. newsletters, blog digests), you may opt out using the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each communication. How does fhit.io adhere to GDPR principles?

fhit.io serves as a data controller under the GDPR, and adheres to the principles and rules of the GDPR. Specifically, fhit.io implements privacy by design and default principles, ensures limited data retention protocols, adheres to incident response norms, allows for appropriate third party audits, ensures data is only transferred internationally with a lawful basis, only contracts with subprocessors with adequate written commitments to data processing, respects data subject rights, and provides data processing agreements to all appropriate clients and partners.
